I knew the day this girl was born that she was going to be special and didn't take her long
to not only meet but exceed my expectations. Her very first show was at the Canadian Nationals 2012 and under esteemed judge Nancy Gallant from the United States, a cocker fancier and breeder for over 30 years, Lexi took Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Bred by Exhibitor, 5 point major. I was thrilled to pieces and even though it was her first day at the show, she showed like she had been doing it the day she was born. Lexi LOVES the show ring and there is no place she would rather be. The mark of a true show dog. She is lovely to go over and lovely to watch. Could not be more proud. I showed her one other weekend in July where she took a few more points but due to personal issues, took a break from the dog show ring for the rest of the year.
Back in the ring we went at the end of April 2013 at Victoria County. Lexi took two Group 4's from the Bred By Exhibitor class to finish her Championship. Again, not much ring experience but she shows like a pro. As her breeder, owner, handler I am very proud to show my girl in the Canadian show ring. Unfortunately we could not attend the Nationals in 2013 due to some unfortunate events at home but we will be starting her show career this June. So watch for updates of Lexi.
